ABOUT US

Bachamari Paulpara Welfare and Educational Society a rural Youth Organization is established during 2013 in remote Tribal Village named Netajipally,Paulpara under the Old Malda Block and Police Station of Malda District about 3 KM away from Malda and 5 KM away from Malda Town with the aim to provide maximum facilities in the field of Income Generation, Education, Sports, Culture, Health & Family Welfare, Drinking Water, Income Generation, Social Awareness etc for the benefit of the poor people by mobilizing resource from own community, Govt. Deptts (Central & State) and Non-Govt. Organizations as well as from aboard.

This society is serving in the Old Malda Block of Malda District where the majority of the population of poor people and other backward group are living. The population of this area not only deprived from all facilities provided by the Government, they are not aware about the schemes of Govt. for the benefit of them due to lack of education, poverty etc. The organization is trying its best to do everything for their financial upliftment through arrangement of vocational training Programmes and education, preservation of their culture, awareness campaign for different Govt. issues and schemes, contacting Block & Dist. Administration for betterment of Road & drinking water and to establish education institutions.

The organization targets the poorest of the poor families of the area. The main sources of the income for these groups are daily wage labourer and agriculture. Regrettably the land holding is of the landlords, very small portion of the land belongs to the small scale farmers. The main crops which are cultivated are- paddy, wheat and mustard. The earnings from this are very remote of their needs. Moreover, the farmers depend upon the rain water for farming. The irrigation facility is poor and inadequate to meet the desired need of the people. Due to this , the production cost goes high and margin of the profit is very minimum some times the farmers face losses due natural calamity and low production of crops. Hence, poor farmers found to give their lands in lease to land lords and migrate to another cities or places for searching of job, which makes them vulnerable and also darkens the future of their children.
